About Me
I'm Joanne and I'm a Senior Health & Safety Consultant with Peninsula Ireland.
I'm a highly experienced Senior Health & Safety Consultant and have been supporting businesses across Ireland since joining Peninsula in 2006.
Based in County Leitrim, I work with organisations throughout the West and North West providing practical and commercially focused Health & Safety advice.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Safety and Health. I'm also a qualified Manual Handling Instructor, Display Screen Equipment Assessor and experienced Fire Risk Assessor, having completed both advanced fire risk assessment training and specialist training relating to buildings of multiple occupation.
Before joining Peninsula, I gained valuable experience working within a local authority, where I supported the management of Health & Safety across 23 different departments. I have also worked with one of Ireland’s largest construction companies, giving me an extensive understanding of contractor management, workplace risk and the legal responsibilities associated with engaging contractors.
I have specialist experience across a wide range of sectors, including retail, manufacturing, engineering and construction. My strength lies in making Health & Safety straightforward and manageable. I work closely with clients to understand their business, identify practical solutions and develop effective Health & Safety management systems that support both legal compliance and day-to-day operations.
Known for my approachable and supportive manner, I build strong relationships with my clients and provides clear, realistic guidance that can be successfully implemented within their workplace.
