My academic qualifications include a Certificate in Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work Level 7 from University College Cork, IOSH Managing Safely for Construction Managers, and a Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment Assessor qualification, along with several instructor courses and QQI tickets. I began my career as a Health & Safety Officer with an engineering company, managing a training matrix for over 200 employees, conducting audits, and overseeing safety in the breweries, dairy, and pharmaceutical sectors.
I also served as a Facilities Coordinator for a manufacturing plant, overseeing the construction of stainless-steel tanks and high-purity process skids, and worked as an Environmental Officer managing the environmental licence and liaising with the EPA. Since joining Peninsula, I have continued to enhance my safety knowledge through various courses and have been a guest speaker at health and safety seminars.
